Stanford seeME introduces young students to the field of engineering. Hosted by the Mechanical Engineering (ME) department at Stanford, this event allows middle and high school students to engage in hands-on engineering activities led by Stanford graduate students.
Past participants learned topics such as calculating the spread of infectious diseases, building motor vehicles, and understanding how birds fly. 2. Stanford Middle School Scholars Program
The Stanford Middle School Scholars Program offers a three-week online summer course to prepare students for an academically challenging high school education. The program accepts low-income students in sixth or seventh grade who live and attend school in the United States.
This program aims to help students develop the skills needed to excel at Stanford Online High School (OHS) and other rigorous high schools. Students are supported through weekly online after-school meetings the fall after taking the course. They explore different academic fields and interact with instructors and peers from across the country.

The Stanford Math Circle provides after-school sessions for students who want to challenge themselves with advanced mathematical problems. Led by mathematicians and educators, these sessions use group problem-solving to help students become better critical thinkers.
The program is developed to encourage mathematical thinking and love for the subject. Students are expected to work on math problems on their own time as well. Sessions are live, so students must be able to attend in the evenings of Pacific Standard Time. Each circle runs for roughly three months.
