Scholarship Award

The Women at Microsoft Scholarship offers seven one-time awards of $5,000 each to eligible applicants. This financial support can significantly ease the burden of tuition and related expenses as recipients embark on their college journeys.

Eligibility

To apply, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Applicants should be in their final year of high school. Applications are also open to international students who plan to attend school in the U.S.

• Applicants must self-identify as a woman or non-binary (including those who are gender fluid and women of transgender experience).

• Applicants must plan to enroll full-time in a technology, engineering, mathematics, or computer science-related undergraduate program at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

• Applicants must maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Please note that employees and children of employees of Microsoft are not eligible to apply.

Application Process

As of now, the application process for the 2024 Microsoft scholarship cycle is closed. The next cycle for the 2025 scholarship will open in January 2025. Interested applicants should check back during that time for updates and access to the application. All applications must be submitted through the Scholarship America portal; applications sent via email or postal mail will not be considered.
