Veritas AI exceeded my expectations! The program was enlightening and enjoyable. I gained a wealth of knowledge that surpassed my prior understanding, and I am grateful to have been a part of it. Collaborating with my team members allowed me to form new friendships and illustrated the significance of AI in the medical field and how teamwork can effectively solve problems. Before the program, I had limited coding knowledge, but by the end, my skills had greatly improved thanks to Veritas AI and my exceptional mentors.
During the program, I had the opportunity to work on a captivating project with my group of four. We developed a model that used preprocessed Sunnybrook Cardiac Data dataset data to calculate the heart's left ventricle volume. Though the project presented several challenges, it was a satisfying experience to see the model come to fruition, particularly after several attempts and versions to achieve the most accurate outcome

My name is Kyle, and I will be attending Cornell University this fall.
After being introduced to the program by my computer science teacher, I decided to take the opportunity to learn about the budding field of artificial intelligence by enrolling in the AI combination program for Scholars and Fellowship over the summer.
After learning more about the endless possibilities that one can harness through the use of machine learning in the scholars program, I was excited about the fellowship program, in which I worked with a mentor to investigate how accurately I can predict the occurrence of breast cancer from gene count data in a table.
The Veritas AI program has opened new possibilities for me that I may not have discovered otherwise, as I plan to combine the powers of machine learning into my current interests by potentially double majoring in chemical biology and data science

“I've had an incredibly immersive and amazing experience with the Veritas AI program. Some concepts were hard but the instructors managed to break them down to the point where it was comprehensible to people with little to no experience with AI. The instructors were also positive and supportive throughout the entire program and it was a delight to learn from them.
The program was challenging nonetheless, but it was really fun to learn about neural networks and other components of AI. For our capstone project, my group and I built an image recognition system using the CIFAR 10 dataset. We trained our program using images provided by CIFAR 10 to recognize objects in different photos.”

Now I am able to apply machine learning concepts to the classroom and to a large-scale project as seen through the Fellowship program. All the mentors and program managers answer any questions you have and help you wherever you are on your AI journey. Veritas AI has completely changed my life and I couldn't recommend it enough!
Working one-on-one with another mentor in the Fellowship program has granted me the opportunity to further dive into the specifics of AI. The AI Scholars program taught me the basics of building an AI algorithm but now I could apply an AI project to a larger-scale audience. I worked with my mentor to create a Chrome extension for Deepfake detection. Veritas has allowed me to build this project from scratch to publication, learning from the best the whole way!”

“I found it quite unbelievable how much I learned in just a few classes. The captivating curriculum of the summer programme, together with the amazing teaching methods of the talented mentors, truly made my summer a memorable one.
Taking inspiration from the business model attempted by a company called Zillow, I worked with my mentor-led group to create machine learning models to predict the price of residential properties in Ames, Iowa. To our amazement, we were able to create a model using Artificial Neural Networks which had an average error of under 20% in just a few hours!”

I came into this bootcamp, with no knowledge on Artificial intelligence or Machine Learning but I'm proud to say that I know quite a lot now related to these concepts.
