The AI Scholars is for high school students (grades 8-12) who have taken up school-level Math classes (Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus).
The AI Trailblazers program is for middle school students (grades 6-8) and does not require a math foundation. -
All our programs are entirely online.
-
Yes, we offer need based aid for AI Scholars, AI Trailblazers, and the Deep Dive programs.
We offer up to 100% of aid. You can indicate your need for aid directly in the application form, and you will automatically be considered. -
For the AI Scholars and AI Trailblazers programs, no coding experience is required.
For the Deep Dives, 1-1 programs, and AI Internship, we require students to have a basic understanding of Python or go through the AI Scholars program first.
-
We record all our live classes. In case you miss a session, you can go through the recording before the next class.
-
For the AI Scholars, AI Trailblazers and Deep Dive Programs, project topics are determined through a collaborative process within the small groups. If your preferred topic is chosen by another group, we would be happy to move you to that group.
For the AI Fellowship with Publication & Showcase, AI Junior Fellowship, and AI Accelerator programs, you can choose your topic and a mentor will be allocated accordingly. -
The output is flexible and you can create an app, a software, a research paper, or work on a presentation.
If you decide to create a research paper, we have an in-house publication team that will assist you with edits and submitting your paper to a journal. -

Letter from our Program Director, Tyler Moulton
My small public high school didn’t offer courses in computer science, much less artificial intelligence. So, by the time I reached my junior year at Harvard as an undergraduate, I had only taken one course in computer science and felt that AI was beyond my skillset. Then, a summer in Cambridge using AI and Astronomy changed my trajectory.
The summer after my junior year, I was lucky enough to work at the University of Cambridge as a research fellow at the Institute of Astronomy. It was my first research experience, and I didn’t realize until my first day at Cambridge just how much data was in Astronomy!
I was given a dataset with 10,000 stars and too many variables to count. I was overwhelmed, but luckily, my mentor, a data science and astronomy researcher at Cambridge, helped me learn AI and leverage it to classify stellar types in the Orion Nebula. With his help, I wrote my first research publication at the intersection of astronomy and AI!
I joined the Veritas AI team because I’ve experienced firsthand how learning about AI can change a young scholar’s trajectory. AI might feel difficult for many students, but with the right curriculum, mentor, and support system, I believe any high school student can master the fundamentals of AI! That’s our mission.
I have worked with several of our students on AI projects (hazardous asteroid classification, anyone?), and get so excited at the different projects our mentors and students undertake together. From medicine and finance to art generation and literary analysis, I’ve seen AI applied across every field of study. I’m so excited to help students explore the world of AI - just like my mentor showed me! I hope you’ll join us.
Yours,
Tyler Moulton
